Jackie Bullivant of Platform4Training has worked with Romerils as a training provider for over 12 years and has come to know us incredibly well. We have diversified over this time from builders’ merchants to a large Trade Centre and Retail Home Interiors Store. Jackie has helped us through these massive changes with change management programmes, management training, the launching of appraisals and performance management, team building, sales and customer service modules and numerous other subjects; always showing substantial and in-depth knowledge of all the subjects.

“I have been the HR Manager at Romerils since 2001. Our company was originally a builders’ merchant, but in 2004 we diversified and began an expansion programme aimed at moving into the retail marketplace. We now have three distinct areas to our company - a trade centre, a retail home lifestyle department store and a support section, which incorporates administration and warehousing and deliveries. “In September, Jackie Bullivant was engaged to provide customised report writing training to our staff in-house.

The training was provided to the majority of Sturdza’s employees who have a wide range of differing skill sets ranging from those that had never prepared a written report before to those where the requirement for this skills forms a significant part of their day to day role.

Not only was Jackie understanding of this situation and accommodative of the additional challenges that providing training to a wide range of skill levels would present in only two different groups, the course was thoroughly prepared in our business and the standards we expect from our staff.

After the course Jackie was keen to provide feedback on each group and comment on the levels of engagement, as well as give evaluation and necessary follow up where required. Feedback from our staff was equally positive and the general consensus was that this was a valuable session that provided many with increased levels of confidence in their ability to produce reporting.
