Martin's academic training as a professional counsellor included 2 years at Southampton University as a postgraduate student where he obtained the following qualifications:

Diploma in Social Administration.

Diploma in Applied Social Studies

Certificate of Qualification in Social Work, an approved certificate in professional counselling approved by the British Government (Home Office) for qualified social workers.
In addition to this, Martin has designed and delivered a variety of training programmes in the areas of leadership, and pastoral care, and has worked with clinical psychologists and therapists in the rehabilitation of serious offenders.
As a Director and Training Consultant for Platform 4 Training, Martin delivers training programmes and coaching sessions for Counselling Skills, Report Writing and Business Writing Skills.
